The Oktopus II has a strong reference to its predecessor in the design of its case body, yet boasts a brand new case construction.Learn More
I was very flattered when we started receiving requests from ladies asking us for a Linde Werdelin watch with a feminine touch to it. So due to strong demand I decided to look into the possibility of us producing one.
What was important for me before venturing into designing a more feminine watch was that I had to make sure that our case dimensions and Linde Werdelin’s DNA were kept intact. After all we still wanted to be able to attach both instruments onto the watch.
The refined 3-Timer model was the best choice on which to base our ladies watch and so The White Watch was born. The white details on the bezel, screws and the white calf strap were chosen to give that feminine touch without it being too feminine... I wanted it to be a watch that women could wear every day. The pointed calf strap is thinner than our leather straps and smaller in size so it fits perfectly the more slender wrists.
The back case is engraved with the word “White” and shows the limited 51 pieces we have produced for The White Watch.
It was not our intention to produce ladies watches and The White Watch wouldn’t come to being if we didn’t have customer feedback and requests for it which is why we can’t mention enough how much we value and encourage our customer communication.
Enough said. Now let me show you a brief video highlighting the features of The White Watch.
More to come next week.
