Today is a remarkable day: 11.11.11
And a special day to share with you the announcement of a new and exciting addition to our
SpidoSpeed Chronograph family: SpidoSpeed Black Orange
Take a guess how old this quote is? 50, 100 or even 150 years? Well, believe it or not, English poet William Cowper delivered his famous quote sometime in the middle of the 18th century. And to this date we believe he’s fundamentally right!
To keep with the quote and add more “flavour” we’ve twisted a few details to the SpidoSpeed Black Orange: featuring our signature steel skeleton grid, the bezel and the chronograph pushers have been treated to a dark black colour, and get visually ‘lifted’ against the grey for the steel case. The subdials are highlighted in a fresh orange tone, which is a colour widely used in the racing car industry.
On the other side, adding orange to the movement was not as simple as you’d think. We tested many different options and decided it was perfect just to add a touch of orange to the rotor on the logo without taking over the beautifully finished custom-made movement.
We are working on a video of a 360° rotation of the SpidoSpeed Black Orange and, as always, you will see it here first when it is ready. More details coming to LindeWerdelin.com next week.
