BaselWorld, the world’s biggest and most important event for the watch industry, is just around the corner. This is the 4th year we are going to Basel. We will be entering the main hall. The Hall of Desires – how exciting. It is nice of BaselWorld to give us a pat on the shoulder. For a young brand like us, it is an invaluable opportunity to be in amongst the action.
Official invitations have been going out to our industry peers, and will soon be to customers. Above is one of the invitations to Linde Werdelin at BaselWorld we have sent out.
We have also launched our new online visual for the SpidoSpeed on our website homepage and as banners on a handful of our media partners’ websites. Online is a rich medium. However, animation is a costly business. Our € has a more worthy place which is our timepieces and instruments. With hand-drawn illustrations being a key visual differentiator for the marketing of our collection, every time we bring them online, we go through a whole creative process to produce something interesting and employ specific styling.
“Space tunnel” is the idea behind the current visual, which adds a sense of speed and motion to the illustration, and presents the notion that we have come through time and have evolved to bring you our first chronograph, SpidoSpeed. The end result can be viewed on our homepage, or on ABlogtoRead, Fratellowatches, and Hodinkee.
