THE IDEA

SpidoLite II is a true testament to supreme craftsmanship and architecture of the most technically-complex watch case design. Featuring Linde Werdelin's signature fully skeletonised case and dial construction inspired by F1 car's weight reduction technology, the SpidoLite II is crafted in titanium to further reduce weight yet in a robust structure making it ideal for even the extreme altitude sports experience.

THE CASE

The skeletonised titanium case is a complex and technically challenging construction, requiring the best watchmaker to produce. The entire case has undergone black DLC treatment with hand satin finished facets and details in microbillé. The crown is crafted in 18 karat rose gold with microbillé followed by a hand satin finishing.

THE DIAL

The dial consists of two skeletonised layers with galvanised rose gold and black detailing on the upper dial and a Côtes de Genève lower dial. Luminant hour indexes and numerals of the seconds’ sub-dial at 9 o'clock. A LINDE WERDELIN logo is positioned at 6 and 7 o' clock. A date function is present in this SpidoLite model with a laser-cut date disk. The numerals of the skeletonised black calendar wheel have been amplified, enhancing date readability.

THE MOVEMENT

The LW 04, caliber 2251, powers the SpidoLite II Black Gold; custom-made by Concepto, the independent movement manufacture based in La Chaux de Fonds. The movement is visible through the dial as well as through the sapphire crystal case-back. On the front and back of the movement it’s finished with a circular perlage and engraved with the Spido icon. The black rotor bears a rose gold LINDE WERDELIN marque.

All the screws in the movement are blued steel and have been implemented because of their high anti-corrosion properties and to enhance the beauty of the movement. The result is achieved with a slow and cautious heating process.
